Luna

Luna grew up in a teepee in south of France, surrounded by nature and horses. From an early age she started experimenting with different art forms which include contemporary dance, photography, painting, singing, video editing, theatre & fashion. Eventually she decided that dancing was what she wanted to do professionally.

She enrolled at the James Carles choreographic centre in Toulouse at the age of 19. After her studies there, she decided to start a journey around the world in order to discover and learn more about the different styles of dancing. Particularly, she wanted to explore the cultural influences on body expressions and techniques.

Luna is hard working and dedicated to see herself progress every day. She finds joy in overcoming her limitations by pushing her limits.Since she began her professional training, she has never quit working on details even while being injured, trying to understand why her body reacts this way and how to make it stronger. The connection between our physical and emotional selves, and how we emotionally react in physical pain.

The last two years she has been working in various projects around Europe. She is currently living in the Netherlands, working on her technique in ballet and contemporary dance every day but also performs for a choreographer. While waiting for the right opportunity, she wakes up every day committed to her passion. Her plan is to keep exploring different body languages around the world and her wish is to dance everywhere she goes. Her curiosity is the driving force of her creativity that complements her love for dancing, movement and her experience of satcitananda in this form of physical art.

She often finds difficult to understand life in the modern society due to the different environment she has experienced as a child but tries to adapt as much as she can.

As she loves photography, she enjoys collaborating for photoshoots but also playing herself with photo and video editing.

I really had fun shooting with Luna. She is very creative and it’s been one of the few times that I didn’t have to direct during a photoshoot. You can find her on Instagram.

Thank you Luna!

During the shoot Sandro told me about his upcoming exhibition in November where he would present 12 paintings. The name of the event was “Molon Labe”, a unique combination of visual and audio elements that takes the viewer to a journey of feelings on a path 12 stops long. Thank you for the invitation Sandro!

You can find Sandro on Facebook, Instagram and his website.
